Christmas Music and Family Traditions

I love this picture because it reminds me of all the family Christmas afternoons spent playing music together.
We had a wood burning stove that kept one corner of the house all warm and cozy, and that's where you would find the dogs sacked out and the kids with hot chocolate mustaches.
We'd all be singing our little lungs out while my aunt tickled the ivories and uncles, cousins and whoever else strummed along on a gee-tar. Of Course I had my tambourine!
We were usually short a guitar or two so as soon as someone put one down, someone else would pick it up.
I used to affectionately call my Grandpa Pickn' Old Man because that's what he was. He'd wait until everyone else got to play a little and then when folks would start to wander off for thirds on dessert he'd quietly pick up a discarded six string and the magic would happen!
