Merry Christmas

So today is Christmas. While I am normally super into the holiday spirit, this year I just can't get into it. Maybe it's all the working, or me being sick, or me being broke that's got me in a 'whatever' spirit for the holidays this year. Last year this time I was still up wrapping gifts listening to my Christmas Medley on my ipod. This year I'm writing this post under my toasty duvet cover in the bed. Not only am I not excited about Christmas this year, I'm also not excited about NYE, which I also had already squared away by this time last year. My Vegas plans were set, and I was gun-ho and ready to go! This year...not so much. If I had a bigger house I would just have the homies over for a little get together, and call it a night. I know...sad. The older you get, the more exciting it should be...right? To be honest, I haven't been as excited about Christmas or any holiday for that matter since my grammie died in 2003, but the funk that I'm in this year just can't be explained. Maybe being with my family tomorrow will snap me out of this mood and get me amped for the new year.

Despite my weird mood, I definitely want to wish all of my friends, readers, colleagues, family and the random people who found their way to this blog a merry and joyous christmas!

p.s. can u believe 2008 is OVER??! Crazy how time flies...
