Vanessa's List of Thankfulness

So i know i haven't posted in like a week, so i figured since i have some time off today, i might as well. i was trying to think of a clever way to show my appreciation and 'thankfulness' for the people and things in my life, when i decided a list would be the easiest way to go. so here it is, "Vanessa's List of Thankfulness":

- my grandfather: man! i owe this man so much. after my grammie died in 2003 this man has been the only person in my life that i know i can always count on. he means so much to me, and no matter how often we argue and disagree i know he would do anything and everything for me with no hesitation.

- my house: seems kind of weird, but i am so happy to have this house!!!! this home has been the only home i've ever known. so many amazing memories took place in this house that i don't think i would ever be able to let it go. in times like these where so many people are without a home, i am truly blessed to have a place to come rest my head every night.

- my extended family: the Atkins, the Banks-Bordenave Family, Tya-- these people mean so much to me. most of you have known me since i was a KID. prom, graduations, getting into high school and college, boy drama, friend drama---you guys have been my rock and my support through all these years. if i could have picked my own family, it would have been all of you.

- my amigos!!!!: Brittney, Chris, Courtney, Perris, Aura, Sydnie, Aloni, Amber, Tessa, Patrick, Alycia, Brian, Nately, Sarah and Taylor (my babies!), Kenturah, Dawn, Kanna-chan, Keone and Cheynne, and Will. WOW. i'm not sure why, but God CLEARLY has his hands on me. i knew that there had to be other amazingly wonderful people out there besides myself, but i never knew i would be friends with all of them. i don't have any brothers or sisters but the relationships i have with some of you are so deep that in my heart and spirit you're like a brother or sister to me. all the hours-long conversations in the car, on the phone, on aim--thank you. for going out with me when i know you didn't want to--thank you! for being there for me when my grandma passed away --thank you so much. for coming to my game nights and other random events--thank you. but most importantly, for enlightening me, for supporting me, for putting me in my place, for being honest, for loving me--thank you so much.

-dutchess: even though you get on my nerves a lot, you have brought so much happiness into our family. when i thought we almost lost you, i felt like we had lost another family member. thanks for being such an adorable (but bitchy..lol) little dog!

-BAPE: thanks for giving a sista a job! i have truly learned a lot about business and work relations being here. Daigo, you are like the greatest boss to ever exist on the planet. thanks for putting up with my weird idiosyncrasies, my singing, my crazy looks (hahaha), and everything else. i couldn't have asked for a better person to work with. to the staff at bape--you guys are fabulous! 

there are so many other things that i'm grateful for today, and always, but i'd rather not make you all sit here and read thru all of them lol....
